I took this in the summer of 1997 at the B&O Railroad Museum, where I would do an internship the next summer. I was scouting the place out for just such an internship, and this was the day I decided to go ahead with it. In any case, the main locomotive in the picture is former Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) #7402, an EMD SD-35, and behind it, in very bad condition, is former B&O #92, an EMD E8. Far in the background is the museum's famous roundhouse, which collapsed under snow in the winter of 2002-2003, but which is now restored and reopened. |
